The Information reports prediction-market platform Kalshi's annualized revenue has topped $4.0 billion and the company is seeking a $40 billion valuation.

CPCA data: July passenger car exports, including complete vehicles and CKD, totaled 918,000 units, up 87.8% YoY and 4.9% MoM, accounting for 41% of passenger carmakers' sales (June: 37%; 2025 same period: 21%). New energy vehicles comprised 58.8% of exports, +14 percentage points YoY. Independent brands exported 775,000 units, +87% YoY; joint-venture and luxury brands exported 143,000 units, +108% YoY.

On Aug 11 Zonghuixin Photonics signed an agreement to establish a high-end optical-communications chip and device R&D and manufacturing base in Changzhou. The project includes total committed investment of about 5 bln yuan and will prioritize R&D and mass-production lines for indium phosphide high-end laser chips to promote domestic localization of core optical-communications chips.
