CME Group and Silicon Data will launch ComputeFutures on Oct. 5, offering two contracts—Silicon Data H100 Lease Index futures and Silicon Data B200 Lease Index futures—that track hourly rental-cost indices for GPUs. The products are aimed at providing hedging and investment tools for firms seeking to manage compute costs. Contracts will be listed on CME and governed by NYMEX rules, effective only after regulatory approval.
