A CV-22 Osprey from US Forces Japan's Yokota Air Base made a precautionary emergency landing at the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Utsunomiya Airfield in Tochigi prefecture at about 15:00 local time on the 10th. Japan's Defense Ministry notified local governments by the 12th. The US said the landing was a "precautionary landing" to avoid an accident; the aircraft departed the airfield on the 11th.
