Henan’s flood-control command activated a level-2 emergency response at 08:00 on Aug 12, the provincial emergency management department said. From 08:00 Aug 12 to 08:00 Aug 13 heavy rain is expected along the Huai River and across much of northern Henan. Heavy downpours are forecast in parts of southern Jiaozuo, central-eastern and eastern Xinxiang, eastern Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, central-western Shangqiu, Pingdingshan, Xuchang, Luohe, central-western and northern Zhoukou, northeastern Nanyang and northern Zhumadian.
