Heavy downpours are forecast in parts of southern Jiaozuo, central-eastern and eastern Xinxiang, eastern Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, central-western Shangqiu, Pingdingshan, Xuchang, Luohe, central-western and northern Zhoukou, northeastern Nanyang and northern Zhumadian. Localised ultra-heavy rain (250–350mm at isolated points) is possible in southeastern Zhengzhou, southern Kaifeng, central Pingdingshan, northern Xuchang and western Zhoukou. Brief intense rainfall with hourly rates of 40–60mm (up to 80mm locally) and convective thunderstorm winds of force 8–10 are also expected.
