At the morning open, China's domestic futures main contracts were mixed. Fuel oil rose over 3%; low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) gained more than 2%. Coking coal, polysilicon, asphalt, red dates and coke advanced over 1%. Palladium, platinum, PET bottle chips and pulp fell more than 1%; eggs slipped about 1%.

Foreign media, citing sources, report UAE state oil company ADNOC is proposing to help Iraq export crude that would bypass the Strait of Hormuz via ‘dark’ ship-to-ship transshipments, moving Basra cargoes to Asian refiners. Sources say the plan would use short-haul rendezvous in the Persian Gulf with vessels reportedly switching off AIS before transferring cargo offshore; ADNOC is a leading Persian Gulf crude exporter.
