Iraq's prime minister told reporters after meeting visiting CENTCOM commander
Cooper that Sept. 30 is the final deadline for international coalition forces to
end their military mission and complete withdrawal from Iraq. He said Oct. 1
will mark the removal of all foreign military presence and the start of a new
phase for Iraqi territorial sovereignty and strengthened security and military
capabilities.
