In its Q2 2026 monetary policy report, the People’s Bank of China said it will promptly design and roll out pragmatic incremental policies and intensify countercyclical measures to support demand and optimize supply. The PBOC said it will expand domestic demand, deepen financial reform and high‑level opening, accelerate building China into a financial power, improve central bank institutional arrangements, establish a scientific and prudent monetary policy framework and a comprehensive macroprudential regime, and smooth monetary policy transmission.
