Sources said Apple seeks a government-relations lead able to maintain strong channels with the Trump administration to manage tariff and policy risks. The hire follows increased CEO Tim Cook engagement with the White House and is part of recent senior changes: Cook plans to step down as CEO on Sept. 1, to be succeeded by hardware chief John Ternus, while Cook will remain executive chairman.
