South Korea's Lee's approval rating fell to a record low of 44% in a Gallup
Korea poll released Friday, down 7 percentage points from July, reflecting
growing public discontent with housing policy that has not cooled an overheated
property market. Support among voters in their 20s dropped to 30%. The ruling
Democratic Party's support slipped 3 points to 41%, while the main opposition
People Power Party rose to 25% from 23%. Proposed property tax reforms have also
raised market concern.
