At a 2026 CATL core operations carbon‑neutral conference, Huang Bin, head of
procurement and head of planning and materials control, said over 80% of
lithium‑battery lifecycle emissions come from supply‑chain activities. CATL set
a target to achieve full value‑chain carbon neutrality by 2035, covering
minerals through finished batteries. The company said supply‑chain coordination
is central and has broken the target down from carbon‑footprint accounting to
targeted reductions, issuing a detailed action plan.
