On Aug 17 NBS spokesperson and chief economist Fu Linghui said at a press
briefing that new growth drivers continued to make a clear contribution in July.
In the first seven months new industrial momentum accounted for 50% of growth in
China’s industrial output of enterprises above designated size. Accelerating
digitalization and smart manufacturing are visibly boosting related sectors.
