Geely Holding Group will coordinate group brands and external partners to
co-invest, co-develop and share production capacity, local supply chains,
talent, channels and service networks. Volvo’s European plant will be a key
European base for Geely group’s high-end luxury models, slated to start
production in 2028. The Proton plant in Malaysia acquired by Geely is being
retooled into a Southeast Asia manufacturing hub with 500,000‑vehicle capacity.
The Geely‑Ford JV plant in Spain will also produce Geely models with
500,000‑vehicle capacity, targeting 2028 start-up. Geely Automobile (00175.HK)
raised its 2026 export target to 920,000 vehicles from 640,000 and said it will
challenge a one‑million sales target.
