Yichun Ecological Environment Bureau has proposed to accept the environmental
impact assessment (EIA) filing for CATL’s Yichun New Energy Mining Co. Zhenkouli
(Yifeng County)–Jianxiawo (Fengxin County), Jiangxi lithium mining project. The
EIA report and public participation statement are in a pre-acceptance public
notice from Aug. 17 to Aug. 28, 2026 (10 working days). The filing discloses an
annual mining plan of 30 mln t of ceramic clay containing lithium, down from 45
mln t pre-shutdown, a roughly 30% reduction. Proposed acceptance does not equal
approval; the project still requires approval-stage publicity, expert review and
may be affected by public comments.
