India's silver imports have restarted after a new licensing regime caused earlier disruption, with some traders and banks obtaining permits subject to special import conditions. Metals Focus chief advisor Harshal Barot said supply has 'definitely improved' versus July and estimated roughly 400 tonnes of import licences have been approved. Increased supply has narrowed the domestic premium to international prices, though the 30-day average premium remained around $4/oz as of last Friday.
