Shanghai municipal government office published the Modern Logistics Development
'15th Five-Year' Plan, targeting a modern logistics system by 2030 marked by
seamless domestic and international connectivity, higher efficiency, value-added
services and digital green operations. The plan prioritizes a logistics network
of gateway hubs, regional bases and community-level nodes, continued
optimisation of the logistics industry structure and improved operational
efficiency, aiming to materially boost logistics' international competitiveness,
industry support capacity and ability to safeguard livelihoods. Shanghai will
seek to become a core node in global logistics and supply-chain networks, an
international logistics hub and a global supply-chain management center.
