Baidu (09888.HK) CFO He Haijian said on the earnings call the company will hold a special shareholders meeting on Aug. 26 to seek approval for measures tied to converting its Hong Kong listing. He said the main-board conversion is expected to take effect this year and Baidu is preparing to seek inclusion in Southbound Stock Connect once conversion is complete. In July the board approved changing the Hong Kong listing from a secondary listing to a dual primary listing; Baidu has filed with HKEX and received an acknowledgment.
