On Aug. 20 the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant said a 330 kV "Ferrous-Alloy-1" transmission line supplying auxiliary equipment was disconnected by automatic protection after line damage, resulting in loss of external power. The unit switched to backup diesel generators per procedure. Equipment is operating normally, safety systems did not fail, and on-site and perimeter radiation readings remain at natural background and within regulatory limits. Plant personnel are continuously monitoring parameters

Plant personnel are continuously monitoring parameters and have implemented all measures required to maintain unit safety.
