The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has approved Zhejiang
Shikong Daoyu Technology Co. to run a two-year commercial trial of satellite IoT
services. During the trial the company may pilot satellite IoT operations using
the Geely Future Mobility constellation (Phase I) to provide wide‑coverage,
low‑power, high‑reliability IoT connectivity. Targeted applications include
smart transport, marine fisheries, energy and water management, enabling 24/7
intelligent data collection and remote interaction.
