The Ministry of Finance said at a press briefing it will host the APEC finance ministers' meeting in Hong Kong in October to prepare financial deliverables for an informal APEC leaders' meeting. The ministry noted this year is APEC China Year and it is China’s third time hosting APEC.

China's Ministry of Finance said fiscal-financial measures to boost domestic demand have been refined and will take effect Aug. 1. The interest-subsidy scheme will now cover newly issued working-capital loans within the existing loan-subsidy framework for small and micro enterprises, and will extend subsidies to newly incurred credit-card installment consumption — explicitly including car purchases and home renovations — allowing consumers using credit-card installment plans to receive interest subsidies.
