APEC’s 44th Automotive Dialogue met in Dalian Aug. 19–21, 2026. Delegates
concentrated on three market-relevant priorities: assessing regional market and
industry dynamics and development plans to map Asia‑Pacific auto-sector trends;
building stable, transparent regional supply chains for key components—notably
EV batteries and automotive semiconductors—via cross-economy cooperation to
strengthen supply security; and advancing hydrogen fuel‑cell vehicle development
through standards work, core technology R&D and scaling pathways. Participants
sought to deepen consensus and lay groundwork for practical cooperation between
the Chinese auto industry and other Asia‑Pacific economies.
