Tesla (Shanghai) will deploy a free OTA software upgrade to affected vehicles to reduce that risk by adding in-cabin camera monitoring to existing steering-torque checks and more promptly prompt drivers to resume control and observe traffic. Owners can receive the update remotely; vehicles that cannot be updated via OTA will be contacted through Tesla service centers for recall repair to address the safety issue.
