Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co. filed a recall plan with SAMR under
defective-automotive recall rules for certain 2024 Xiaomi-brand SU7 series
battery-electric vehicles. The interior emergency mechanical pull handle is
similar in color to surrounding trim, reducing visibility and operability; in
severe collisions that disable the vehicle low-voltage system this could impede
occupants from opening doors and delay external rescue. Xiaomi will free of
charge apply warning labels to the interior emergency pull handle and issue an
OTA software update to optimize central-lock unlocking logic and window-lowering
strategy to reduce the risk. Vehicles already fitted with a warning label will
not be re-labeled.
