A State Council executive meeting chaired by Li Qiang said Beijing will seize
the opportunity from a new technological revolution and industrial
transformation to accelerate construction of new-generation communication
networks. The meeting urged an application-led, moderately preemptive rollout
and coordinated advancement of basic networks, space-based networks,
international links and integrated networks to consolidate and enhance the
competitiveness of China’s information and communications industry.
