French President Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will meet in
Paris on Monday, where they are expected to sign bilateral agreements and
discuss alternative transport routes after shipping disruptions in the Strait of
Hormuz. Officials said talks will focus on diversifying energy and logistics
routes, including maritime corridors, alternative pipelines and regional rail
projects. Leaders will also witness signings across technology, transport,
energy and healthcare during a France–Saudi strategic partnership council
meeting. The crown prince is leading a large ministerial delegation on his first
visit to France since 2023. Officials said the leaders will also address
conflicts in Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and Syria.
