Hang Seng Indexes Company said its quarterly review as of June 30, 2026 will raise Hang Seng Index constituents from 93 to 95, adding Huahong Hongli (01347.HK) and Weichai Power (02338.HK). Hang Seng Tech Index will remain at 30 constituents, adding Tianshu Zhixin (09903.HK) and removing Tongcheng Travel (00780.HK). Constituent changes to the Hang Seng Index (HSI), Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI), Hang Seng Tech Index and Hang Seng Composite Index will be implemented after market close on Sept. 4, 2026 and take effect on Sept. 7, 2026.

Japan Meteorological Agency said a magnitude-5.5 earthquake struck off Hachijo Island at about 21:02 local time on the 21st. Maximum seismic intensity was Shindo 3 and depth about 60 km. Tokyo reported felt shaking.
