U.S. President Trump said Iran is the only country where no one wants to be president, making it difficult to know whom to negotiate with.

IRNA quoted Iranian armed forces spokesman Akraminia: "Iran's geopolitical awakening from the recent war has exposed the enemy's malign nature; signs of US decline are clearer and the US no longer holds international prestige. Iran's military strategy has shifted from defensive to offensive; any aggression will be met immediately and responses could be larger than the aggression. Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan have formed a defensive security mechanism independent of the US — regardless of its future effectiveness, its existence signals a declining US role in the region and is the first regional defensive security mechanism without US participation."
