The 2026 Green Computing (AI) Conference in Hohhot saw 13 projects signed
totaling 136.1 bln yuan, focused on GW-scale AI compute and data-center
infrastructure. Projects are split between Hohhot (8) and Ulanqab (5). Hohhot
deals include a Volcano Engine GW-scale park, a Cambricon chip laboratory and a
Haiwu compute-equipment industrial park. Ulanqab deals include a Volcano Engine
GW-scale compute center, a GCL Energy Technology integrated power-compute
project and a China Telecom data center. Inner Mongolia is identified as a
national integrated computing-network hub.
