On the 22nd (local time) Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council
Rezaei said Tehran will regard any country that participates in economic
measures against Iran as an enemy and warned states not to join the United
States in an economic campaign. He called the Trump administration's campaign an
economic and propaganda war but said Iran has learned to evade long‑running U.S.
sanctions and has continued to sell oil despite months of a maritime blockade.
Rezaei warned any U.S. action in the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz
would be a target for Iranian strikes, and said Iran would also strike U.S.
forces and any anti‑Iran regional actors meeting with them. He added talks with
Oman on transit and trade through the Strait are progressing smoothly and Tehran
expects to reach a final agreement.
