Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a regular briefing that the
newly established comprehensive strategic dialogue provides institutional
support to deepen the two countries' ‘five-pillar’ cooperation. He noted the
China-Indonesia foreign minister–defense minister “2+2” mechanism held its
second meeting — the first minister-level “2+2” China has set up globally — and
said Beijing and Jakarta, as major developing countries and key Global South
members, will implement leaders' strategic consensus, convert meeting outcomes
into concrete cooperation, expand comprehensive strategic ties and jointly
resist risks to support their modernization and regional and global stability.
