By the 23:00 close, China’s main futures contracts were mostly higher. Ethylene
glycol and asphalt rose more than 3 pct, fuel oil gained over 2 pct, short
fiber, p-xylene, No.20 rubber and propylene were up about 2 pct, and
bottle-grade PET chips advanced over 1 pct. On the downside, PVC fell more than
2 pct, rapeseed oil and soybean No.2 dropped over 1 pct, while pulp, palm oil
and soybean oil slipped around 1 pct.
