UK Prime Minister Burnham said at a Willingness Alliance summit in Kyiv on the 24th he has approved providing Ukraine with the technology needed to produce Storm Shadow cruise missiles to help Kyiv develop indigenous long-range strike capability. Burnham said the UK first supplied long-range weapons to Ukraine in 2023. Ukrainian president ZELENSKIY requested the Storm Shadow technology so Ukraine can develop the capability domestically.

A University of Southampton-led international team says it achieved the first room-temperature self-synchronization of multiple micro‑lasers, producing a coherent, reconfigurable light source. Researchers say the result, published in Nature Communications, uses mature materials and could provide a pathway to lower-cost, reconfigurable and more widely deployable photonic computing hardware.
