Bank of Japan: core-core CPI rose 2.2% in July (2.0% in June).

Suzhou reported Jan–Jul large-scale industrial gross output of Rmb2.92 tln, up 7.1% YoY. Industrial value added for firms above designated size rose 9.4% YoY, 0.1ppt faster than H1. The city’s top-five industries produced Rmb1.7618 tln, up 8.8% and accounting for 60.3% of large-scale industrial output, a 0.6ppt increase. Electronics information, electrical machinery & equipment and special-purpose equipment manufacturing grew 10.0%, 10.5% and 10.1% respectively; pharmaceutical manufacturing rose 10.4% driven by demand for innovative drugs. Output at the top-100 industrial enterprises increased 9.3%, contributing 3.0ppt to overall growth. High-tech manufacturing output rose 11.3% YoY and accounted for 58.7% of the total industrial growth. AI+ expansion lifted integrated circuit, optical fiber and electronic component output by 15.0%, 14.0% and 12.0% respectively; service robot and industrial robot production jumped 192.4% and 30.5%.
