He flagged persistent irrational competition, aggressive design innovations being fitted to vehicles without sufficient testing, and a small number of product-quality and autonomous-driving safety incidents that have drawn public attention. These issues, he said, cannot be ignored and must be tackled with greater force during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
