Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) said the Tehran Stock Exchange All-Share Index rose 154,000 points, breaking above 6,378,000 points; 95 pct of stocks advanced and over 80 pct gained 2–3 pct.

The third China-US 1.5-track dialogue took place in Beijing on Aug. 25, hosted by the International Liaison Department of the Chinese Communist Party and the Asia Society. International Liaison Department minister Liu Haixing delivered the keynote. About 40 Chinese and US participants — from central agencies, local governments, think tanks, universities and US strategic and business circles, including Asia Society co-chair Thornton — held candid, in-depth exchanges on constructive strategic stability and pragmatic bilateral cooperation.
