Bank of Thailand MPC unanimously voted to keep the policy rate unchanged.

Microsoft 365 said a maintenance activity unexpectedly impacted Teams, degrading functionality for users in the Asia-Pacific region. The maintenance has been paused and service restored to standard availability.

A-shares rose in the morning. At the midday close, China's Shanghai Composite Index was up 0.7%, the Shenzhen Composite Index rose 1.2% and the ChiNext Index gained 1.37%; the STAR 50 index climbed 2.18%. Non-ferrous metals led gains, with Jiangxi Copper, Baiyin Nonferrous and Jinchengxin hitting limit-up. Controlled nuclear-fusion and compute-hardware segments also strengthened; Rongfa Nuclear Power, Baili Electric, Cambridge Technology and Gongjin shares hit limit-up. Medical services opened higher then slipped — Chengda Pharma fell more than 5%, with Kanglong Huacheng, Yinuosi, Boji Pharma and Bide Pharma also down. Electric-motor stocks weakened; Huarui plunged over 10%, while Jiangte Motor, Dibei Electric, Chengguang Motor, Zhaowei Electromechanical and Yifan Transmission declined.
