Hong Kong stocks closed higher; the Hang Seng Index rose 0.56% and the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 0.82%, with turnover at HKD 254.82 billion. Gains narrowed in the afternoon. Metals and precious-metals sectors outperformed—China Molybdenum (03993.HK) +7.3%, Liqin Resources (02245.HK) up more than 4%. Broker names outperformed: China International Capital Co (03908.HK) +8%, Shenwan Hongyuan Hong Kong (00218.HK) +7%. Select techs firmed: XPeng (09868.HK) +7.81%, Huahong Hongli (01347.HK) +6%, SMIC (00981.HK) and Xiaomi (01810.HK) each up over 2%.
