Asset Management Association of China data show that as of end-July 2026 there were 165 domestic publicly offered fund management institutions — 150 fund management companies and 15 asset managers with public-fund qualifications — managing a combined net asset value of 39.11 trillion yuan.

MUFG revised its outlook within a month — after the July BoK meeting it had expected rates to be unchanged in August with a hike in Q4, but has moved the anticipated hike forward to August.
