Iranian military spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia said Tehran has upgraded its
military capabilities and accelerated reconstruction of infrastructure damaged
in the war. To deter possible further US strikes, Iran plans to shift its
posture from defense to offense. He said Iran carried out several 'preemptive
actions' in the war's final phase and that an attack on a US military base in
Jordan helped deter further US attacks. Akraminia said the government will offer
cash rewards to anyone who captures US soldiers entering Iranian territory. He
added Iran has made significant progress rebuilding wartime-damaged
infrastructure and has acquired new military equipment. On the Strait of Hormuz,
he said vessels will be monitored before arrival and will be allowed to pass
only with Iranian permission.
