A Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman said the visit is consistent with Qatar’s long-standing view that diplomacy is the best way to resolve differences and promote regional security and stability. Talks will also address freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and efforts to restore conditions there to their state before Feb. 28.
