Alibaba’s Qianwen released Qwen3.8-Flash, a multimodal Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) model and an early preview of the Qwen4 architecture. Production Qwen3.8-Flash will be available via the Qwen Cloud API, priced at $0.16 per 1M input tokens and $0.47 per 1M output tokens. The model includes 125 billion parameters plus 51 billion N-gram embedding parameters, with roughly 6 billion parameters activated per token to boost cost efficiency.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan, China’s new-energy vehicle industry jumped from the million-unit scale to the ten-million-unit scale: annual sales rose from 1.367 mln to 16.49 mln and NEVs’ share of new-car sales climbed from 5.4pct to 47.9pct. China now accounts for over 70pct of global output of new-energy vehicles, power batteries and key materials, with products sold in more than 100 countries and regions. For the 15th Five-Year period, Chinese authorities will push to raise product supply quality, advance pilots for intelligent connected-vehicle admission and road testing and for car–road–cloud integration, and strengthen supporting use environments to address consumer adoption concerns.
