Public fund data site reported 33 funds opened subscriptions Aug. 24–30, with an average subscription period of 20.79 days. Three FOFs opened subscriptions this week, taking year-to-date FOF issuance to 130; FOF units raised this year reached 129.359 billion units as of Aug. 25, a record. Rongzhi Investment FOF manager Li Chunyu said the 2026 surge in public FOF issuance is driven by three factors: low interest rates and falling deposit/bank wealth-management yields prompting deposit migration and greater demand for one-stop, diversified FOFs; banks using customized FOF plans to steer client flows as part of wealth-channel strategies; and public fund houses reallocating research resources to launch stable, bond-leaning hybrid FOFs. Policy support and population aging are also releasing pension FOF demand, further boosting issuance.
