Aug 26 — China’s MOFCOM assistant minister Zhang Li and Zimbabwe’s minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Amon Murwira co‑chaired the 11th China‑Zimbabwe Joint Economic and Trade Committee in Harare. China said it will strengthen policy coordination, deepen supply‑chain and investment cooperation and urged Zimbabwe to accelerate negotiations on a joint economic partnership agreement to ease Chinese investment; Zimbabwe pledged to provide a favorable policy environment for Chinese firms. The two sides signed the meeting minutes.
