Bank of Japan Deputy Governor HIMINO said the central bank must pay closer attention than ever to upside risks to prices.

Yichun Ecological Environment Bureau said on Aug. 26 it has withdrawn the proposed-acceptance public notice for the environmental impact report of the Jiansxiawo lithium-mica mining project in Jiangxi (spanning Zhenkouli, Yifeng County and Fengxin County) after public queries about the developer’s earlier disclosure website; the bureau will reissue the notice once submissions meet requirements. Jiansxiawo, the world’s largest proven lithium-mica deposit, has been halted since Aug. last year and its restart is being closely watched. A person close to CATL said the company will cooperate with government approval arrangements for next steps.
