Israel is considering expelling UK and other European officials from the US-led International Gaza Support Center (IGSC) in retaliation for criticism of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s policies in the Palestinian territories, the Financial Times reports. Israeli officials have discussed removing the UK from the IGSC in recent weeks and have also weighed similar steps against Italy and Germany. The IGSC, established to oversee the US-mediated Israel-Hamas ceasefire, is headquartered in southern Israel and led by US military officers working with the IDF and dozens of military and diplomatic staff from roughly 50 countries and international organisations. Foreign Minister Sa’ar this week expelled the Netherlands’ representative after The Hague moved to boycott goods from Israeli settlements in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights; Spain’s representative was expelled earlier this year for what Israel called persistent anti-Israel bias.
