Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant said on Aug 27 its spent fuel dry storage facility was struck by Ukrainian military drones on Aug 26. The plant reported no significant damage or casualties and said radiation levels on site and in surrounding areas remain within normal ranges. It warned that attacks on spent fuel storage are extremely dangerous and unacceptable, and that any impact on facilities securing spent fuel would pose a potential threat to nuclear and radiological safety.
