Meituan (03690.HK) is set to report Q2 results on Friday; a FactSet consensus of
nine analysts expects a CNY1.43bn net loss versus a CNY365.3m net profit a year
earlier, with revenue of CNY101.56bn versus CNY91.84bn a year earlier. OCBC says
food-delivery unit economics should turn profitable in Q2 as subsidies ease and
expects Meituan’s core local commerce revenue to rise about 4% in Q2. Douyin’s
shift toward profitability should reduce competitive pressure on Meituan’s
in-store business. DBS Group has raised Meituan’s 2026 and 2027 profit forecasts
by 4% and 6%, respectively, citing delivery business improvements.
