A company board office staffer said Sungrow is still studying the specific impact of the executive order and cannot comment publicly until that work is complete. Asked about its U.S. subsidiary, the staffer said they do not have information on the subsidiary’s employee count or performance. In an investor-relations note the company said rumors of FCC limits on Chinese inverters have circulated but it has not seen substantive documents banning Chinese inverters. Sungrow said units exported to the U.S. lack remote upgrade and remote-communication functions and comply with relevant U.S. standards. The U.S. DOE earlier this year tested Chinese inverters and did not find intentionally embedded malicious wireless communication functions.
