NVIDIA (NVDA.O) added $442 bln to its market value on Thursday, the second-largest single-day gain on record, after shares rose 8.7% at the U.S. close — the biggest one-day jump since April 2025. The move trails only Microsoft’s roughly $450 bln single-day increase less than a month earlier. The rally followed NVIDIA’s strong guidance, which eased concerns about an AI growth slowdown; institutional analysts called the guidance “stunning” and said it “implies more than $100 bln of potential upside” to current market expectations. JP Morgan said the outlook, while far above consensus, may still be conservative because NVIDIA “explicitly stated the current view is supply-constrained; absent supply limits, demand growth would be materially higher.”
