Alibaba Cloud brought a Brazil data center online today. The region has two
availability zones and will offer compute, storage and database services to
enterprise customers and developers; enterprise-grade AI services will be rolled
out subsequently. This is Alibaba Cloud’s second Latin America region after a
Mexico region launched in Feb 2025. The rollout brings Alibaba Cloud’s global
footprint to 31 regions and 106 availability zones, covering Europe, East Asia,
Southeast Asia and Latin America, with further expansion of cloud and AI
coverage planned.
